Some people just have that "if you know, you know" moment between them and their person. Alex and Will are walking testaments of that sort of love. All who can see them can immediately know that these two gravitate towards each other like magnets and have since they day the met.
I was fortunate to get to photograph the moment that Will asked Alex to marry him with the ring tied to an Amelia's Flower Shop bouquet last winter. And from my hiding spot in the balcony above the shop, I could see the moment of clarity in Alex's eyes as she saw the rest of her life unfold with Will.
These two were married at Will's childhood home and land that he grew up on. The ceremony took place on the steps of his Grandmother's home under a tree and with a view of rolling Tennessee hills, with the bright southern sun setting behind them. Their reception was a vibrant fantasy land perched on a clear acrylic floor over the family swimming pool, with magnificent sprays of orchids and bold blooms throughout. I've been told that Will's mother Barbara is the ultimate host and party planner extraordinaire, and with their team of vendors, they were able to create a truly mesmerizing celebration experience for their friends and family.
I'm so grateful to have been asked to document these moments for Will and Alex, they are both so fun and have been so good to me over the past year. I hope you enjoy this glance into their wonderland.
